Our Journey
More Than a Travel Company
Climb2Kili Adventures was not created only to guide travelers to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro or across the wildlife plains of Tanzania. It was built to create opportunity, dignity, and hope for local people living around Moshi and nearby communities beneath Africa’s highest mountain.
Behind every expedition is a family depending on tourism for survival. Every guide, porter, chef, driver, and coordinator represents a real story, a real struggle, and a real dream.
That is why Climb2Kili exists — not only to show travelers the beauty of Tanzania, but to create sustainable jobs that help local families survive and grow through honest work and shared opportunity.

Meet Francis

Growing up beneath the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro, Francis witnessed both the beauty of Tanzania and the struggles many local families face every day. His father worked as a mountain guide, leaving home before sunrise carrying heavy expedition bags — a lifelong lesson in tourism, hard work, and service.
When he was old enough, Francis started as a porter on Kilimanjaro. Carrying equipment along difficult mountain trails taught him resilience, discipline, teamwork, and respect for the hardworking crews behind every successful summit.
He became a professional mountain guide and spent more than ten years leading climbers from around the world to Uhuru Peak across the Machame, Lemosho, Marangu, Rongai, Umbwe, and Northern Circuit routes.
But his dream became bigger than guiding. He wanted a company that would create employment for local people, honor his father’s legacy, and support communities facing hardship — helping families pay school fees, afford healthcare, and survive difficult seasons of life.
That dream became Climb2Kili Adventures.

About Climb2Kili Adventures
Common questions about who we are, how we work, and the communities behind every journey.
Climb2Kili Adventures was founded by a local mountain guide to honor his father’s legacy and create opportunity, dignity, and hope for people living around Moshi. The company exists to share the beauty of Tanzania while creating sustainable jobs that help local families survive and grow through honest work.
Yes. Part of every journey contributes to helping vulnerable people within the community, including support for street children and emergency help for elderly and sick people during difficult times.
Yes. Our guides, porters, mountain chefs, safari drivers, and office coordinators are all local Tanzanians, most from Moshi and the communities around Mount Kilimanjaro.
Tourism income helps families pay school fees, afford healthcare, build homes, support elderly relatives, and get through difficult seasons. For many young people around Kilimanjaro, tourism is one of the few paths to a stable, long-term career.
We are based in Moshi, Tanzania, at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro — close to the routes, parks, and communities behind every journey we plan.
